Yosemite in White

I was so lucky to get up to Yosemite at a perfect time to shoot its beauty covered in white. The sun had already set, so the color shifted to blue.

Yosemite in Winter

The day before I arrived at sunset to take this shot, the park was closed because of heavy snow. My timing for this shot was perfect. It is not often that all the trees are covered in this much beautiful new snow. The color in the clouds over El Captain will only last a few seconds and then the chance to get the shot is gone. Click goes the shutter at the perfect time and one of my favorite shots is on the memory card and I can head back to the motel and get some much needed sleep.
